My story

On 4 October 1917 the jumping off line of the 7th Australian battalion A.I.F. (1st Australian Division) was around the Passchendaele Memorial Garden, near the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917.
Patrick must have died during this attack in the area of Broodseinde Ridge. He was originally buried off the sunken road (Sheet 28.D.29.a.9.3.). His grave probably disappeared due to the heavy shelling of further attacks.
