My story

The 43th Battalion Canadian Infantry (9th Canadian Brigade, 3rd Canadian Division) was to take the Bellevue Spur in the attack on 26 October 1917. They cleared the pillboxes and kept a foothold on Bellevue. William died during this attack and was originally buried on the Bellevue Spur (Sheet 28.D.4.d.5.5.).
