My story
The 16th Division was in support of the 15th Division on the 1st of August. The next day the 6th Battalion Royal Irish Regiment (47th Brigade, 16th Division) moved up to the support line and then the frontline facing the Frezenberg ridge. Thomas was wounded in the Frezenberg area while taking over or holding the line. He was taken back to a Casualty Clearing Station in Proven where died there of his wounds.
