My story

Horace Hanton Graham was a 23 year old stockman from Rockhampton, Queensland. Private Graham was part of the 52th Australian Infantry Battalion, 13th Brigade, 4th Division. On the 16th of October his battalion was stationed at Broodseinde Ridge. 8 soldiers were killed and 12 wounded while holding the line. Private Graham was one of the 8 other ranks being killed. He was first buried near Daisy Wood, north of Broodseinde (D.23.a.5.4). After the war he was reburied at Passchendaele New British Cemetery, where he is still remembered today.
