My story
"Killed in Action." This soldier was one of a machine gun crew, during military operations at Passchendaele, when he was slightly wounded in the left eye by a piece of shrapnel which had pierced his steel helmet. He started out for the Dressing Station but nothing further was heard of him until about a month later when information was received that his body had been found and buried.
