My story

"Killed in Action." During an attack in the vicinity of Passchendaele, and whilst doing duty as Orderly Sergeant, he had taken up a position, together with his Company Commander, in a shell hole, when he was hit in the head by a fragment of casing from a heavy shell, which exploded nearby, and instantly killed.
