My story
"Killed in Action." He was detailed to go forward with a machine gun crew in an attack on the morning of Nov. 1st, 1917, near Passchendaele. He survived the first stage of the attack and displayed great courage under heavy enemy shelling. When the machine gun had been placed in position, the trench they were in was heavily shelled and about 8 a.m. a shell struck the trench instantly killing Pte. Seymour and two others.
