My story
"Killed in Action." While asleep in a "funk hole" in a trench South of Passchendaele, the enemy opened up a heavy bombardment on that part of the line, and a shell exploding in close proximity to were he was sleeping buried him. Parties were immediately set to work to dig him out but when found life was extinct.
