My story
"Killed in Action." While "digging in" just after his Company had reached its objective in an attack West of Passchendaele on the morning of October 30th 1917, he was sniped through the elbow. Shortly afterwards he left his section to make his way to the dressing station, and was later found dead in the Field, apparently having been killed by a shell.
