My story
"Previously reported Missing, now for official purposes presumed to have Died." He was with his Platoon holding a detached post and the nearest trench on the left was 600 yards away. He with another man, attempted to cross this ground, and in doing so he was seen to be hit. His comrade returned to the trench and was taken prisoner with the remainder of the Platoon, but no information has since been received concerning Private McMaster.
