My story
"Killed in Action." On the afternoon of June 2nd, 1916, his Company was called upon to occupy a system of trenches, near Hooge, in support of the front line which had been subjected to severe bombardment during the morning. After the Company had taken up the required position that evening, he was hit by an enemy shell, and died almost immediately.
