My story
"Killed in Action." Abouth 10 P.M. on the 10th of June, 1916, he was struck in the right shoulder by a large splinter from an enemy shell and killed almost immediately. At the time he was with his Company Commander standing at the entrance of the only dugout left in Maple Copse observing the intense shell fire which the battalion was subjected to whilst holding the position.
