My story
"Killed in Action." During an action in the vinicity of Maple Copse on the 2nd June, 1916, the enemy opened up a most intense fire upon the front line, support and communication trenches, and his Battallion was called upon about 9 a.m. to support the Units holding the line. He was a member of the Grenade Section, and whilst the Battalion was taking up the new position, he was killed by enemy fire.
