My story
Sergeant Thomas Feasby, a 32-year old previous foreman domestic (1911) from Middelsbrough UK, was part of the 11th Northumberland Fusiliers (68th Brigade, 23th Division). The 11th Northumberland Fusiliers participated in the Battle of Passchendaele 1917. On 12 October they took over the frontline from the 13th Durham Light Infantry near Reutel. The next day āAā Company was heavily shelled and on 14 October āCā Company shared the same fate. Sergeant Feasby was one of many casualties that day. On 17 November 2021 Thomas Feasby, previously missing and remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial, was reburied on Tyne Cot Cemetery.
