Mijn verhaal
The 1st Battalion Newfoundland Regiment was in the line in front of the Broekbeek, North West of Langemark during the end of September. During this period they suffered 34 casualties from shelling and from attacks from enemy aircrafts. They took the body of William Clyde back and buried him in Captain’s Farm Cemetery, 3 km West of Langemark village. After the war, everyone on this cemetery was reburied in Artillery Wood Cemetery.
