Mijn verhaal
"Killed in Action." Whilst the battalion was moving forward from Abraham Heights in the support area to the front line, Passchendaele, under a heavy enemy bombardment, he was struck by a fragment of shell and fell over off the "duck walk" into a deep shell hole. He was dead when he fell, and it was impossible to recover his body.
