My story

Archibald Harry Aldous was the son of Robert E. and Selina A. Aldous. He was born around 1889 in Brackley, United Kingdom. He lived there until he enlisted in the British Expeditionary Force at Northampton. He served in the 4th (City of London) Battalion London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers) (9th Brigade, 3rd Division).

Aldous died during the Battle of Menin Road Ridge, which took place from 20 to 25 September 1917, near Hübner Farm. At the time of his death, on 21 September 1917, Archibald was 28 years old.

Archibald Harry Aldous is buried in Tyne Cot Cemetery (X. G. 2).
