My story
Corporal Thomas Mitchell, a young man from Manchester, Lancashire, was killed in action on the 9th of October 1917, in what is known as the Batlle of Poelcapelle. At the time of his death he served in the 2/9th Battalion Manchester Regiment, 198th Brigade, of the 66th Division.
