Meine Geschichte
Private Thomas Muirhead served in the 5th/6th Battalion Cameronians (Scottish Rifles).
On 21st of February 1918, the Battalion relieved the 4th East Yorks Regiment and established their headquarters at Indigo. From there they went to Borry Farm and proceeded via Judah Track to the front line.
During a relief at the front line two exposed forward posts on the right front company were attacked by the Germans. This resulted in three men being killed, three wounded and a further thirteen missing.
Private Thomas Muirhead was killed in action on the 21st of February 1918. It is highly possible that he was killed during this German raid. His remains were exhumed after the war and reinterred in Buttes New British Cemetery.
