Meine Geschichte
Private Joseph Llewellyn Hullah, a former motor man, served in the 101st Machine Gun Company, which was part of the 101st Brigade, 34th Division.
On the 19th of October the Company was located near Marsouin Farm. At 10 p.m. on the 20th, eight gun team were sent up to shell holes at the front north of Poelkapelle. They were tasked with relieving the 102st Machine Gun Company. The Company Commander notes that few casualties were reported during this relief, despite the difficulties that the men faced.
Private Joseph Llewellyn Hullah was most likely one of the casualties, however. He was most likely killed while marching to the front and has no known grave. Private Hullah is remembered at the Tyne Cot Memorial.
