Meine Geschichte
Private Michael Taylor was part of the 15th Battalion Durham Light Infantry (64th Brigade, 21st Division).
The 21st Division was ordered to relieve the 23th Division at the frontline in the Reutel Sector. In the night of 21/22 October the 15th Battalion Durham Light Infantry was to relieve and cover the left frontline near Reutel and Judge Cottage (J.11.d.40.50. to J.12.a.30.30.). The relief of the 23th Division was completed at 9.50 am. The front- and support lines were heavily shelled during the night and in the morning of 22th October. In October the battalion lost 3 officers and 82 other ranks (killed in action), Private Taylor being one of these 82.
